Dr. Loree earned her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology – Educational Psychology from Northern Arizona in 2018, completing her APPIC doctoral internship at The Guidance Center in Flagstaff, Arizona, and completed her post-doc training at La Frontera Center, and Metta LLC, both in Tucson, Arizona.
Prior to completing her doctorate, Dr. Loree was a licensed associate counselor in the state of Arizona and has experience working across numerous populations and settings including out-patient behavioral health care, psychiatric acute care hospitalization, and in-patient integrated healthcare in a residential ranch setting.
In addition to working with individuals with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and individuals navigating the mental health impacts of chronic illness, Dr. Loree also experienced in working with individuals navigating grief and loss, divorce/separation, marriage and couples counseling, and spent a significant portion of her pre-doctoral training specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood and adult ADHD. In addition, Dr. Loree practiced as a certified equine-assisted psychotherapist through the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).
Dr. Loree’s approach to therapy encompasses the whole person; emotional, spiritual, and physiological, and she values collaboration with naturopathic and allopathic physicians in the care of her clients. Dr. Loree brings a sense of hopefulness, acceptance, and gentleness to her work, and highly values each individual’s unique experience and life perspectives.
