As a psychologist who takes an evidence-based, whole-person approach to therapy, it is my goal to provide a space that allows you to explore the emotional, cognitive, physiological, and spiritual parts of you that make you truly unique, and help you uncover and address obstacles that may be holding you back from reaching your true potential.
My hope is that in a world where we often can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and evidence-based techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
When people hear the word “trauma” they often think of having experienced an earthquake, motor-vehicle accident, sexual assault, or other sudden or violent disruption, but trauma symptoms can also be elicited by a series of occurrences perceived as life-threatening, harmful to oneself or a loved one, that occur over a period of time and cause feelings of overwhelm, and helplessness, that has a profound impact on the body, mind, and behavior.
Depression commonly manifests physically, through stomach pains, headaches, disrupted or excessive sleep, and motor control difficulty. While the causes of depression are unknown, a predisposition for it runs in families and it can be triggered by trauma and adverse life circumstances.
Relationships are part of the fabric of life. And when relationships are going well, we feel happier, are more productive, and experience more peace in our lives. And when they’re not going well, we can experience depression, anxiety, and sometimes even trauma symptoms.
